Q – What exactly does Egress mean?
A – An egress is a path or opening for going out; an exit. Common egresses include doors, fire escapes and adequately sized windows.

Q – What type of window can I have installed?
A – We typically use Anderson windows. Several styles and options are available including double hung, sliders, and casement (crank out/in) windows.

Q – How will my egress window look from the outside?
A – A number of different escape wells are available, including galvanized steel, treated timber, retaining wall blocks and PVC vinyl. You can even spruce up the exterior look by adding flowers, plants or steps.

Q – How long does it take to install a new egress window?
A – Total project time can depend on the interior finish work required, but most egress windows are completed within 1 to 3 days.

Q – How much does it cost?
A – You can expect to pay $2,500 to $4,000 per window, depending on the size, style and window well choices.

Q – Will an egress window add value to my house?
A – Adding another bedroom and increasing your square footage of living space generally increases your home’s resale value.
